My friend John Dill invited me to go up and help him run his Kanati Quiver booth at the expo. I had a blast seeing all the people and getting to meet some of my trad heros.
The folks I ran into were as nice as i've ever seen at an event like this. I wish there was as much intrest in trad archery around here. Way too cold for a warm blooded boy like me.
Before they opened the door on friday to the public, I ran around and snapped a few pictures. Hope yall enjoy.

Ken Beck came by and spent alot of time looking over John's quivers. I think he was impressed. The bow he's looking at is a Rick Welch Dakota. I showed the picture to Toby and told him , Ken was thinking about getting one. LOL

And last for now, Black Widow was there in full force. Great bunch if guys. I finally broke down on sunday and went over and bought the bow that had caught my eye all weekend. PAX 42@28 bolivian rosewood, with low wrist grip. 60". I'll try to take a few pics of it and post, but for the most part it looks very much like the kingwood PAX on the 2008 catalouge cover.

Batman---I stopped by and looked at your quivers. They were very impressively made. My buddy tried it on a fox bow to see how it fit, and he wound up buying it. Man, those quivers really fit tightly on the bows. Is there a web site, because I just might have to get one some day? Peace!
Can't wait to see that PAX....I've been drooling over the PA's since the BW catalog came out...

Hi Don and John, I enjoyed talking with you two at the hotel and your booth. I picked up another Selway Lil Mag (Centaur) while there and it came with a Kanati quiver. It is a pretty slick little quiver and I look forward to putting it to the test.

Aha! You hear that John Strunk? Don's already back to the Black Widders - after just having that beautiful BBO bow you made him for only a coupler months. Well, you might's well bring it (and the Yew Strunk That William was shootin' ) on down to me now that yer back droolin' over BWs - :goldtooth: . (I'll teach you to sneak out of town without even telling me.)

Now Don and William's Strunk bows are another matter all together - they have to watch them like hawks, anytime they don't have 'em in hand. Just let 'em keep pickin' up those BW Spiders! :saywhat:
Bernie, you know a man can't have too many bows. Always did have a soft spot in my heart for widows. The Strunk bows will not get lonely though. William was shooting them when I got hme yesterday. Quiet well, I might add. Don

OK, Don, if that's the way you wanta be - ;) (I have to agree , one can never have too many bows - and, "There Is No Bad Reason To Buy Another Bow".) BTW, I finally Got a Traditional Bowyers Bible Vol I (in a trade) in the mail today. I was pleased to find there are two chapters in there by John Strunk (you probably knew that) and I'm looking forward to reading them (along with the rest of it, of course). Have been reading Vol III (that was sent to me as a gift) lately. Also assembling some knives for the first time(s).
