I have been trying to change thing on my knives, such as the guard and handle. This is a 9 1/8" OAL with a 4 1/2 blade, handle is Black Mesquit, I know this is not a high dollar wood for a knife, but is a solid peice of wood and until I get where I want my knives, I'll wait on the High dollar wood. I think Im going to raise the bottom of the handle up just about 1/8". Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
I think that's a great knife right there.
If you feel you need to tweak it some, then do so.
Or make those adjustments on the next one!
Every time you make a knife, do it with the idea there's a judge looking over your shoulder.
And always feel like you're practicing for the next one.
You're doin' great.
Beautiful work!
Thanks Guys, Karl i thought i better start changing things or i would never get past the judges in a couple of yr. i did look at your handles and some what copied it or tried to. i had a lot of guidence from some guys.
I think that what i was doing was taking everyones advice and trying to use all of it and it was not working for me. im on the right path now (or i think i am).
Thanks again
Looks great! I like the butt of the handle smaller....thinner....than the middle so that it can float i your hand as your working....my two cents. Keep up the great work!
High dollar wood, That Mesquit is hard to come by in a lot of places. That is a good looking knife I like it a lot! Good JOb Dana

looks nice love the blade shape but handle looks to be pretty thick for guys with smaller hands such as myself. and wood looks really good too no need to go broke on high end woods
Great knife. I think you are headed in the right direction with rounding out your handles versus the flatter sides I have seen on your knives in the past. The knife handle looks more comfortable and I bet people are going to respond to a better feel.Curves and a smooth flow of the lines is also more pleasing to my eye.
