Title: Finished! Well, mostly
Post by: Rusty Snuffers on June 30, 2011, 07:55:00 PM
I still have to clean up the file work but 4 coats of Tru-Oil and the handle is done.  How'd I do?

Handle:

And the file work:

I like the way it came out and am anxious to start another, now that I've learned a bit of what I need to do to make the next one better.  I'll likely go with a lighter wood too.  I like the richness of the ebony but it doesn't look as good in pictures.   :)

Thanks for looking.
Rusty

Looks like a great job to me! Those are some sharp blades aren't they! I always had a heck of a time not scratching them though. Even with tape on 'em. Can't wait to see your next one!

There's a reason I didn't show the other side.    ;)    Dang slip of the file...

And yes, scary sharp.
