Post by: toyrecurves on January 29, 2008, 04:52:00 PM
I am going to buy my first fletching jig...what do you guys recommend.
Arizona E-Z fletch 1 or 6 degree, or bitzenburger, or whatever?

I use jo-jan and bitzenburger and like them both.  Both are reliable and last you the rest of your life. dino

If you are going to do a lot of fletching and want a good investment, get the Bitz.

If you have the money go with the Bitzenburger. You won't be sorry!!! I currently use a Grayling which works pretty good, but will be getting a Bitzenburger soon.

Been using the same Bitzenberger jig for over 30 years now. Have a JoJan or what ever they were called before that name. It's good as well, but I much prefer the Bitzenberger.

From what I've seen of the Arizona it's better suited to small plastic fletch with little or no twist.

The Bits come with many many good recommendations.  I have been using a Grayling jig for a few years and it works good.  If money is not a big factor I would have gotten the bitz.  And have been thinking about picking one up for awhile.

I hate to be the dissenting voice but I use Vador jigs.  The whole jig costs what a Bitz clamp costs.  If money is no object, then get the Bitz.  If you're like me and need to get the most for your money, consider a Vador.
