Yep- there's just nothing quite like the Blade Show!
Terry Green even stopped by.
Had a great time as always visiting
We missed you Doug
Kevin did fantastic his knives looked really great!
Chicken extremities were the real highlight for me though- I think there's a new trend coming in the knife world folks so just hold onto your hats!!!!!!

OK let's hear an official report for those poor suckers of us that couldn't make it...

Doug, I didn't take my camera this time, sorry about that. We missed you Doug, and Rob.
Some fine people there, didn't really spend enough time with any of them.
I don't know what all the fuss was about the yard bird stuff Ray (and Lin).

narrow face?
Doug, I think a lot of folks had a decent show...the crowds seemed slightly bigger to me this year....not certain...just how the aisles felt, if you know what I mean.
I got there at 2 Friday and the crowd was already buzzing-big.
-
Ray, Let's just say that I'm thinking seriously about puttin in a new chicken house with leg stretchers. Sorry Dan, but I'm still thinking about that one and laughing! You gotta love it!
:biglaugh:
I just got in. Boy what a trip it was.
-
I'm thinking maybe next year a trip to Ray's after the show - what ya think, Lin?
-
Ron Swartz mentioned that too. Sure sounds like an idea, but Kay will be with me and I'm not sure how that will work out. I'll have to mull it over.
-
Going to try to make it next year. Too little time and too little money this year. Glad to hear all had a great show and made it home safe.

We had a great time! I got home about 8:30 this AM...17 hours in the ol' F-250 just beat the crap out of me! :knothead: It was soooo great to see everyone again
Doug and Rob, we really missed seeing you guys! :( ...and Mr. Hammond, what happened to you and our fearless leader Terry Green? I spent about 5 minutes with Terry, took him over to Karl's table, and then never saw either of you again? :clapper: :clapper:
...and next year we will all have to head over to Ray's place for a couple days. (BTW Lin, I talked to Kay about it and she says she's in... She say's she's just not sure she could stab the hog when the time comes)! :biglaugh:

They'll have a good time!

Nice to meet fellow Trad Gangers!
Lin... I really regret not having more time to meet and talk with you. Quite an overwhelming experience the first time. It's gonna take some time to recover and digest the huge amount of information that has just been poured into my head. I've never been so inspired and confused at the same time...
-
OK OK.....starting my own thread....too much fun.

Just made it back from vacation,of which the Blade show was just the start. OconeeDan, it was good meeting you, got to talk to a bunch of guys I havn't seen for a while, great time! Turned out to be quite the knife making vacation, ended up getting a 200 pound anvil and a 42" lumber mill saw blade {both for free!!} the van looked like a low rider on the way home. Moon.
