Title: Myrtle Hidden Tang Utility Hunter
Post by: Idahomike251 on May 20, 2011, 01:08:00 PM
I am currently working on big batch of red fir custom arrows to sell at the upcoming Western States Trad Shoot in Oregon, however, I just received a box full of wood from the stabilizer folks. I was really pleased with how several pieces of myrtle burl turned out, so I just had to make a quickie knife to see how myrtle burl would look on a knife handle. I am liking it so far. 3 inch blade length mirror polished D2 tool steel - Rockwell 59C.

Mike,
Again very impressive looking knife. Like Lin said, the size is excellent.  But most  importantly for me, the feel and the performances of your knifes is hard to match.
Keep them coming they are easy on the eyes...

Yves, Idaho Traditional Bowhunters will be hosting 2012 North American Longbow Safari. If you're planning to come, please stop by my tent at that time and say "howdy" and also I'd like to hear your comments on the performance of the D2 knife you purchased from me in 2010 NALS. Regards, Mike O.

Mike, excellent work, perfect size and the wood turned out great.  I have some myrtle that needs to be sent off for stabilizing right away if yours is any indication of how it will turn out. Overall, I am very impressed with your knives.
