does anyone know of a foam 3D target that its easy to pull woodies from?
Reinhart targets are easy to pull arrows out of. A lot of the problem pulling woodies from 3D targets is the type of finish on the arrows. Poly finishes tend to melt on arrow entry and bond to the target foam(target burn). Gasket lacquer doesn't target burn but isn't the best finish for sealing.
When I am practicing with Mr. Pork Chop (grandaughter named it). I coat the front quarter of my arrows with spray furniture wax. Seems to make the removal a little easier. I hope this will work for you.
I work for John Deere and they have a product that is a silicone spray, this stuff works well.
Paste wax works pretty good also.
Get a Rinehart 3D and ya wont have to worry about lubes....
I bought one of their Tree stand bucks a couple of yrs ago and stuck him out in the yard where stays night and day rain or shine....He is still easy to pull from....
Thanks guys its all been very helpful. I've been using a 20year old foam 3d deer i think its a blueridge? Its really hard to pull arrows out of i have actually broken a couple trying to get them out. Thanks again
I save some of the little bars of soap from hotels and rub them on the front half of my arrow. Really helps with removal and stops the burn that Eric mentioned.
