I am wondering if someone can put a blade (2) in bear jaws from about a 100 lb bear. I would like to give both of my sons matching knives. I have the jaws and they fit the hand well. Could I get bades and do this myself? I am versatile as far as doing crafts building bows, quivers etc.. but never a knife. Any help, suggestions, experience greatly appreciated.

Check out the Helle Blades from Dryad Bows. I'll bet they would work great for what you have in mind. Sounds like a great DIY project!

I would check out the Helle Blades too. I've actually bought five of the blades and have completed two knives with them. One with a Pronghorn Antelope antler and one with some rosewood on bought on the auction site. The blades are super sharp and look really good too. You can totally do it yourself and it's pretty fun. Once you get the knives done pick up some scrap leather and make a couple sheaths, that's fun too!
Here's the knife I made with a Helle Blade and the Pronghorn antler, I made the sheath too. I wear it around my neck and kinda tuck it in to a button down wool shirt.
