Title: D2 with Charcoal Gray Futurewood Handle
Post by: Idahomike251 on March 23, 2011, 11:41:00 AM
I was going through my 30+ year old inventory of handle material and ran into a piece of white paper micarta and dark gray "Futurewood" resin impregnated maple laminate. Futurewood was a big deal back in those days. I believe Bear Archery used this almost black material for their bow handle. Nostalgia caused me to see if I can do a "black-and-white" knife handle like some of the old Bear bows.  (http://i595.photobucket.com/albums/tt31/mokamura_photo/002-7.jpg) (http://i595.photobucket.com/albums/tt31/mokamura_photo/003-5.jpg)

Very nice, I like your style and thin handles

Thank you. My thinking is that almost "full round" handle materials such as antlers may rotate too easily in your hands. Mike O.

That looks awesome I really like your slim designs too. I found when I first started that I made the handles to big and I am starting to slim them down.
