I'm a newby knife maker.I've learned a lot from you trad gangers.A big thanks.Here are Pics from the last 2.

I could be wrong, but I see 3 knives. Maybe you should just mail that middle one to me so that your thread will be accurate.  :biglaugh:

I've had a terrible time with photo bucket since they revised it.I never know whats going to show up here.Sorry about the 3rd knife photo.Its one I made in February.

Rick,  if you don't mind, what kind of rivets are you using on your sheaths?

7/16 tubular nickle plated.I set them with a hand set rivet press.(antique)you can buy the snap togeather rivets also.you just put the pin thru the leather add a snap on the other end & tap with a rawhide hamer.I get my rivets at Tandy leather.

That's great!  Thank you.  I just made a sheath for my son and I revited the belt loop on but I'm not sure how well it's going to hold.  I used the "other" kind of rivet you mentioned.

I sat a rivet in front of the press its hard to see.But you just put the rivet in the bottom of the press put what ever you want to rivet in between the top & bottom of rivet press & push the handle down & it pushes thru the leather & flanges it in one motion.I just ordered a splitter that will split the rivet 4 ways & then flange it.I dont have much faith in the caped rivets.They seem to want to off set.

Rick, very nice work IMHO, the Sub-hilt is my favorite since I have a urge to make one!

Thanks steve.I have a long way to go before I can call myself a knife maker.That knife was the last of 8 this winter..Gotta go back to my regular job shortly.I feel a bit intimidated putting pictures of my stuff on here, but it really helps keep the fire burning when the people on this site say something good about something we begginers have worked so hard to build.As the tools & the knowlege grow I hope I can build a really quality knife someday.
