Title: Another one Ironwood & Tiger Stripe Damascus
Post by: skullworks on February 20, 2011, 09:10:00 AM
Here is another one that I just finished. Some awesome Arizona Ironwood with red liners and brass pins. The blade is 1095 & 15N20 tiger stripe damascus. 3-1/2" blade 7-1/2" OAL. Pics are a little blurry...sorry.

Beautiful. The dark wood colors keep the patterns in the blade and in the grain of the wood from looking too busy together. In fact, the patterns are similar enough to flow well from one material to the other. And the sheath goes perfectly with that highly figured Arizona Ironwood. It is rare to see a knife and sheath that are so incredibly well color coordinated. As a friend of mine says when everything comes together like this knife and sheath do, "It just WORKS".
