After reading and more reading and asking questions about carbons and recommendations..I'm more confused than when I started. :knothead:
I'm looking for arrows for my Horne Brushbow.
It's 51@28, but i'm out to 29" draw so i'm around 54#.
I'm looking to keep it simple. Any help?

I have been shooting CX Terminator hunters for years and love em. Extremely tough and I don't think you can break one w/trad gear. Not sure you can get these shafts anymore, but the 4560's weighed 11gpi and I add the 50 grain brass insert. Be sure to not cut them off before you bareshaft. Carbons are very tough to get the spine right. You can glue in the insert, shoot, and if needed, cut the nock end off 1/2" at a time. You may have to try the goldtips, but they have weights you can add too.
I went to them because I got tired of broken/bent shafts shooting in the Misery breaks. Seemed like I always was hitting rocks and the AL bent and the wood broke.
I agree with LKH on the Carbon Express. I personally use the CX in the Heritage shafts and just like LKH said they are the most durable carbon shafts I know of and they weigh 11gpi+ depending which one you use. For your setup if I were using the CX heritage shafts I would shoot the 250's.
drew...check with shawn leonard...i think the 250s will be too stiff..... the 150 30" with 125-175 up front.
try the blem gold tips from srta (they are a sponser here) a 35/55 should do the trick.

If you want the Wood Grain look then you could give the CX 150's or GT 35/55's. CX also has the Carbon Rebel in black that is somewhat less expensive. I prefer the CX's for the overall quality.
Some people find that carbons are hard to tune. I have found that point wt has little affect on dynamic spine. Length has a greater affect. Leave them longer than your woods. Also, a must to consider is your bows shelf. If it is cut past center you will need to build out your strike plate. The smaller dia of carbons can easily bring the center of arrow past the center of the shelf. If this happens nothing you do will help in tuning. Give'um a try.

Awesome, tough arrow! These are what I shoot and I love them! I've tried a few other arrows in the past, and have been using CX's for the last 3 years. They're my favorite arrow, and my top choice at this stage. I'll use them for many years to come! :thumbsup: ;) I hope this has helped!
I second the gold tip blems from SRTA, that's what I'm using now and my setup is similar to yours. I shoot a 29.5 inch camo blem gold tip with a 100 grain brass insert, and a 175 tip. Total arrow weight is right at 550, and it shoots like a dart out of my bow.
The service is great at SRTA, the people are awesome, and the arrows inexpensive enough that I can buy two dozen for the price of one. That means alot more practise and hunting, cause now i'm not worried so much about maybe running out or breaking one.
