Title: A couple finished
Post by: Roughcountry on September 15, 2010, 09:19:00 AM
I just finished number 4&5 folding hunters. Doug Campbell sent me some iron wood and I used it on one without cracking it during the pinning.
One is hollow ground and the other is my first try at a flat grind.
Some advise from a near by master smith really helped with the locks on these.
They both have horsemen sheaths but are small enough for a back pocket.
Thanks for looking. RS

Thanks guys. They are getting closer to what I'm shooting for. My wishlist of tools seems to be getting bigger with every one.
Working on a belt grinder right now, can't wait to get it working.

Thanks again everyone. I've got a few ideas that I think will improve the next one and I might try a stainless liner and bolsters.( hope I don't bite off more than I can chew)

Doc. I just finished a sheath for one of yours. The finger swell works great for secureing it in the sheath. Very nice blade and fit & balance in the hand was great.
