Title: Big Bowie WIP
Post by: LONGBOWKID on September 12, 2010, 06:49:00 PM
Here's one thats had my attention lately. 10" blade, with a 5 1/2" tang for an OAL of 15 1/2" of L6 steel. Flat ground blade hand rubbed to 340 grit. Planning to go all the way to 800 grit when all is said and done. I'm open for any suggestions on handle materials, any critiques on the blade are welcomed and encouraged. I plan to taper the tang to give it more weight towards the blade. I'll do my best to keep this thread updated, thanks for looking.
