Here's something to consider the next time you're in the shop - something I thought about the other day while takin' a cruise on my scoot -

1. The short-term conditions we want in our steel are achieved with controlled heating.

2. The long-term conditions we want in our steel are achieved with controlled cooling.

And those conditions, are many!
