The same rules apply for this bow as the 58" bow. Sign up and send it to the next person on the list when you are done. Pleas don't keep it longer than a week and send it via US priority mail when you are done. Thanks- JD
whats the # and can it be drawn to 30"
I am quite certain it will be in the 45 lb range. And it will easily draw to 30"+.
Sorry everyone. The boiw is 45#@28". And yes it can be drawn to 30". JD
just read the Sponson intro thread. 45# @ 28" so about 51# @ 30" perfect. could not find the rules for the 58" so could you post them.
Or was the first post up top the rules?

Caleb
WOW! This response turned out great. The bow is heading to New York tomorrow. Lets put a hold on any more sign ups until the bow makes it to Phil Parker. Also bu the number of people signed up, if you can keep the bow less than a week to get it to the fellow members faster that would be great. Keep me updated on the bow location from time to time. Feedback on the bow would also be great. Enjoy- JD
Man, I missed this one, too!
What about us lefties?!!
I guess I should have gotten in line behind Elk Ninja! Can't believe that there weren't any other west coast TradGangers on the list....Maybe next time.
Please put me on the list for
June of 2011
either the 58" or 60" would be fine...
jim, are you passin my new bow around!?? This is a great idea, thought I would just add my .02 and say I should be getting my second of Jim's bows in a few days, with those specs...hmmmm. Luckily the local bow shop stocks his bows so I can shoot them all. Very nice.
The bow is on its way to Rick Cunningham....You guys that are on the list are really going to like this bow!!!!!

TTT :0)
JD : That is one sweet shootin curve . I am drawing it an honest 30" and it is as smooth as butter . I was impressed with how quiet it is also very fast . I had no problem stacking arrows with it . The rest on the list are going to love this bow . Thanks JD I'll be sending it on soon . Drew
TTT for the guys on the list. It's headed my way this coming week and then I'll be sending it to Jerry Jeffer.
If it comes back to MI, I'd like to try it out...if possible?
Drew
Cool, I psyched! Otto, let me know when you send it off to me.
Okay guys. The bow arrived at my house today. I'll be playing with it over the long weekend and I'll ship it to Jerry about the middle of the week.
Drew- you dont live that far from me, come over and shoot one of mine whenever you want.
The bow is on the way to Jerry Jeffer.
What did ya think of it Otto??
I got it. I posted my review here.
http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=057158
I thought it was a well crafted bow. True to it's name it is VERY quiet. I've always though an Assenheimer was one of the quietest bows around but this one was even more quiet. It had excellent speed (to my calibrated eyeballs). If I was in the market for a one pc recurve, I would give SERIOUS thought to buying one.
Hey all,
So where is this bow now?
Brian
I live in area with no trad shops. If we want to shoot them we usually buy them and then resell. I'd be grateful for a week of experience with such a nice bow. Put me down.

I'll be sending the bow along tomorrow. Sorry guys, my wife had some post-partum complications. I'll get it on the way asap.
Hey Jerry,
Go ahead and send it to "elk ninja", he is after me, but I'm going to pass. I don't want the temptation and plus it's a little light for me to get a good feel for it.
I'll send you a PM.
elk ninja,
Your pm box is full and I couldn't return your PM.
Thanks, Mike
Jerry, Sorry to hear about your wife. Those things take precedence over trivial stuff like this. Hope all is well.

Just an update. The bow showed up today at work. :)
The Priority Mail trianlge box was bent at one the end but fortunately the bow doesn't look like it was effected.
It's supposed to rain all weekend with T-storms.

Does anyone know where the demo bow is?
Greg
Man she is still going around, thats cool, I think i was the second or third one to try her out. I wounder how many miles it has on it now, would be cool to know.
Hey all,
At the moment I am pawing all over the 60inch whisperstick. I will be sending it on in a few days. She sher is Purty. Quiet too.
Brian Gillispie
I purchased a 60" just like this one, it's hanging on my rack now, the very first time I shot it I was at Bunker Hill Shoot, I had 4 individuals that wanted to shoot it. They could not believe how quiet, and fast it was for a 43# bow. I really enjoy shooting the whisperstik 60"
It is the first bow, on the first time shooting it, I nailed the spot I was looking at.
And I just purchased a second one 58" 47# @ 29" you won't find a better individual ( JD ) to work with, in getting a custom bow, at a very reasonable price. I think it took me about 7 bows
before I found "the perfect one"
I can't say enough about these bows, as I said before;
"JD is one of the top bow makers in the nation"
(just my opinion)
back to the top, for the best bow out there

Last time I checked JD, was about eight weeks out on delivering new bows, and some of the bows he might have on hand, you never know, if you don't call him.
Just talking with him about your needs as far as a custom bow, even if you don't order, is an experience in itself.
This is great, being able to try it out before your order.
JD even has a 56"
Carl
Great way to try out the bow !
