I am starting the sign up for my demo 58" Mojo Stik recurve. I will work similar to the white elephant. Put your name on the list and the person that had it before you will send itwhen he is done. Please don't keep the bow more than a week. I would also like it to be sent via US priority mail. Also please keep the bow sock and the stringer with it. Thanks JD

Great idea, longbowjim. Shooting a bow is the proof in the pudding.
All the talking in the world will not give people a real idea on how a bow feels. You have to shoot it for yourself.
Got to like a bowyer who puts his stuff out there for the "acid test." I'll bet this brings a lot of work his way.
Good luck to Whisperstik Bows
I'd like to try the 58"er. Always on the lookout for a short bow.

I have both a 60" recurve and a 60" longbow from Jim. Both GREAT bows! Easy on the eyes too.
I even changed my handle to Mojostick, after my beautiful 40lb Whisperstik recurve Jim made.
I'd sign up for this, but I'll just drive 15 minutes and shoot one off the rack at Tradition Outdoor Supply in Sand Lake, once you get a few more made up. LOL
I'll be happy to try the right hand model.

WOW! This is giong better than planned. Lets hold off on any more sign ups until the bow makes it to Phil Floyd. It will be easier to keep track of where the bow is at. I will always keep this going as long as there are people to sign up. Try to keep me posted on where the bow is from time to time also.
This bow was chosen for a demo because it had some small checks in the riser after it was pulled from the oven. The bow was flawless other than these marks. Still, not the 100% flawless that I ship my customers.
Just one last note. Feedback is always welcome. This is just my way of getting the bow to people that can't always make it to the shoots and expos. If you are able to get teh bow on to the next person quicker than a week, it would be much appreciated by the people at the bottom of the list
Enjoy- JD
Dang, guess I'll have to look for it to come around on the next lap.

I will keep in touch Steve - AKA Tillerboy
Bow just got here, so I'll post a review after I shoot it a bit. Good looking stick, if I do say so myself.
here is some shots I took with it. That is a NICE BOW! Extremely smooth and forgiving. Mr. Lund makes a magnificent bow!
I shipped the bow to Kevin L. about three days ago.

El Cazador,
She's headed your way tomorrow. Hope you like it as much as I did, lol. I've got one on the list. JD is a true artist.
Man, I'm hoping to get in line behind ILbowhunter, seeing as he is about 1.5 hours away, but it looks like June before I'll get a chance.
Hey Mr. Whisperstick, are you going to be at Cloverdale or Compton?
JD is hovering over my shoulder as I write this and says "tell them I'll be at compton". So there ya have it, right from the bow master himself via proxy.
What are the specs on this bow? When does the sign-up start back up?
45#@28 58"
Get hold of this one, it's a shooter. Just be ready to place an order, though. It'll make a believer outta ya!
ttt
Go ahead adn skip me. I already shot the 60" and was very impressed. I already made up my mind. Send it to the next guy who hasn't had the opportunity to shoot one of JD's bows yet.
She's on the way to Peckerwood now... Bill your in for a treat.
I wish I was able to shoot her a bit more while I had her, but life in general seemed to get in the way! I'm not a recurve shooter, but this one is making me second guess that philosophy! Maybe I'll just have to find a longbow to try out. :)
First off I would like to thank JD for the opportunity to shoot one of his bows. It rained most of the day Sat. so shooting was limited but today I really gave the bow a workout. I really like the bow , JD's workmanship is 1st rate. I was shooting 11+ gr. per lb. and the bow seemed to shoot plenty fast. I now know why they are called Whispersticks. You guys need to shoot this bow. Thanks again JD. I will mail the bow to Keith the beginning of the week.
Bill

Got out today and got to shoot her a bit.
Real smooth and shot my Vapor 2000's very well!
They have 245 grns up front for a total weight of about 480 grns.
Here is a pic of one of the many 20 yrd groups I shot with her, very smooth and quiet.
The grip would take a little getting used to, but still dead in the hand.
Thanks for the opportunity!

For those of you who have been shooting this bow, what has been the best arrow, and what is the total arrow weight, and weight of the tip. I know that this particular bow handled a variety of arrows, but I like to know what the best was.
JD does wonderful work, and is a great person.
Thanks,
Carl

the 29" 2117's with 145 tips that I used worked very well :archer:
Thanks Zachary,
Mine will be between 45# and 47#, it is the 58" demo bow that everybody has been shooting on this demo bow thread, I saw how well it was handling just about every arrow that anybody was putting to the string on this demo bow.
I also saw the really fine wood (Honduras Rosewood), and the grain that was in the riser, and everyone was saying how smooth it is, and going from different individuals, and all of them shooting really fine groups.
So I did not hesitate, I told Jim of Whisperstik Bows I would purchase it, and sent him the money, it is already paid for, I'm just waiting for Jim to get the bow to me.
I understand he has a 56" that he is going to send around, I have talked with a couple of people on the 56" and they really like it. And there is also a 60" Demo that is going around right now that people can try. And another example of how he thinks of people, he's also sending around a lefty ! Just do a search, and you have a great opportunity to shoot a fine quality bow. JD makes a real fine product, and as I've said before;
" he is not an up-and-coming bow maker, he is one of the top bow makers in the nation in my book"
I'm not telling anything to people that they don't already know about JD, he is a superfine fella.
You can't ask for better bow, and finer quality. They are quiet, and fast, and draw smooth from the beginning to the release. This will be my second Whisperstik bow.
So I'm looking forward to getting this bow. The only disappointing thang, I wish it had every Trad ganger signature on the bow that shot it, but if it did, I think JD would not have sold it to me, he would put it on his wall as a prize possession, like I will without the signatures. I am looking forward to the memories that this bow will bring from hunting with this special Whisperstik bow, some of the Trad ganger have already made a first kill with it. And that will even make my first kill with it, even more special.
I believe that God gave JD a very special talent, and JD blesses individuals through his dedication to that talent. I know he's just an individual making bows, but there is so much more that he gives through his attitude and dedication to the people he serves.
But thanks again for your information. That is what so great about the people on this site, they are willing to share and pass on their knowledge.
God's blessings
Pastor Carl
I'd like to try it, Thanks
