It's been well over 12 years since I made my last knife. I recently had an itch to make some more. This is the first one I finished. Blade was cut out from D2 tool steel. Mirror polishing was added after hollow grinding and heat treating. Handle is zircote. (http://i595.photobucket.com/albums/tt31/mokamura_photo/FirstKnife002.jpg)

Thanks folks, I had to stop making knives when we lost the use of our company's model shop. I have recently retired, so I assembled all the knife making equipment in my garage, and here I am making knives and arrows. It sure makes my days go fast. I will be displaying my stuff at Western States Trad Rendezvous in late May, and also at the Longbow Safari in Libby, Montana. Please stop-by if you can. Regards, Mike Okamura, Boise ID

Thank you Steve.
I've got 6 more that just came out of my heat treating furnace. I'll draw them down to Rockwell 58C-60C and I will post more pics as the knives are finished.
