Title: Jason Knight Shop Day
Post by: tippit on April 20, 2010, 08:08:00 AM
I spent the day with Jason from 10am to 6:30pm yesterday...absolutely fantastic!!  Got ton of photos while he showed me his forging & grinding methods.  Feel like I got a post graduate degree with all the little tricks.

Plus he really likes to make Brute de Forge blades too and even liked my knives      I'll post some pictures when I get home from Aiken...Doc

Lamey, I said Hi from you!

Doc, sounds like a great experience, one on one with a top MS! Jason is one of my favorite makers!

I spent last saturday in the historic W.F. Moran shop with two MS and a JS, and got to forge a knife!  You got to love those experiences!

Looking foward to see the photo's

Tippit, sounds like a good day!  Im going to go spend some time with Jason and trade tricks real soon.  Im going to swap him some heat treat stuff for some of his grinding and handle magic.

Be sure and post some pics when you apply what you guys worked on.

Lamey,
Wait til I show you his Handle Magic!  That was one of the things I really wanted to learn.  It was very impressive the way he taught me.  I took pictures of every step.  He is a great teacher...tippit
