Title: HELLE question!

hey guys, i just orderd some helle "odel" blades. im planing on slideing pieces of antler and wood onto the tang and then peening over the end of the tang. my question is can the end of the tang be threaded so i could screw something on to hold everything together? Can the helle laminated SS be peened or is it too hard? any tips on peening? thanks alot, Chris

I've been told it will peen however peening is a pain IMHO.

helle makes brass piece that slides onto the tang and locks into place when you tap it on it works very well
