I donated a Fransisca to the Archery World annual charity shoot. $6,000 was raised for The American Fallen Heros fund this year. This hawk was designed as a camp axe, I left the back flat to allow for hammering in tent stakes and hitting other things that need a good whacking. The hawk is representative of the gothic eras Fransiscan axe that was used so effectively in that eras wars. The handle is waterfull maple which I thought came out really nice.
I made an over the shoulder sheath for the the hawk as well. It was nice that a good hunting buddy of mine won it in the silent auction.
