You know, it seems that just about every time I log in to Trad Gang "Hunting Knives and Crafters", I see one or two new names that have not been here before.
Then, when I look at their profile, they've been Trad Gang members for a long time and are frequent posters.
My only conclusion is that we are getting noticed over here!
I think that's cool as all get out!
We have soooooooooooooo much to offer all the other people on this forum, and what we discuss and show here are accessories that "make" the fully outfitted traditional bowhunter.
We need more visitors!!
If you guys have friends or customers that spend more time in other sub-forums on this site, INVITE THEM OVER!!!
Encourage them to participate in the world of hand-crafted cutlery that we offer here.
Have them engage in conversations and ask questions of the many makers that live here.
This is just way too much fun to enjoy by ourselves.

Karl, I have always been interested in knives. My grandfather was a Machinist and before that a Blacksmiths apprentice. He has been gone for 40 years but almost every member of the family has something that he hand made. From hand hammered spoons and small ball peen hammers. And a few knives mostly made from band saw blades where He worked.
So this is a forum I come to daily to see what wonderful creations You and the others have posted. I hope to join in some day but until then I will continue to read all of the info everyone supplies here. That way when I finally give it a go I won't feel like I'm in the dark. Thanks to all of You on this forum for letting us watch and learn.

I've noticed that too Karl.
This would be a good time to say thank you folks if you are visiting and we hope you decide to stay with us as much as you can. :campfire:
I spend time on Pow Wow and the Knife Crafters too and have found it so rewarding to be of some help to those wanting to make a knife and at the same time gaining a lot of information to help my bow skills. Again, thank you. Lin

Interesting that you mention. I am a new member lets say a couple months or so. I started looking at this site just for the knife section. I have never built a knife but have an old friend that is a true craftsman at the trade. I have talked him in to teaching me the art. He gladly agreed. I should be starting my first knife within the month. He has offered me his shop and tools also anytime that I want to work. He doesn't know it, but I have been lurking here for quite sometime to learn as much as I can before we start. I have been drawing/creating patterns for a month trying to create a style. The only reason I haven't started with his guidance yet is that I have a new 10 day old little girl that requires my attention, and quite frankly don't want to get to far for her right now. I am very proud of her to say the least. I will be busy learning the craft starting February. I will post more as time goes on and hopefully get some good advice from you guys.
On another note, I just bought a black widow one month ago because I was venturing other places on this site. I got the trad archery bug just innocently looking for knife info. This is truly the best forum and group of people that I have ever dealt with. Thanks, Tom

The interesting thing about Trad Gang is there are craftsmen & women in just about any aspect that has to do with traditional bowhunting.
Plus I've never seen or read about one person who wasn't willing to share the knowledge. Thanks to all...Jeff

Karl, I've been watching already screwed up my first 2 knives. I am a novice and think I'll be cutting blades from found objects, Right now I'm working with some old circular saw blades.
My Neighbor used to make some really nice knives so he'll be around for moral support along with you guys!
I love seeing the different designs.

I do a lot of drooling......er.....visiting here on the knife forum. Someday, I'm gonna own at least ONE knife from each of you. Before I found Trad Gang and the knife-builders forum, I "thought" I knew what a nice knife looked like. Thanks to each and every one of you, I do know now. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
