Title: Post vises
Post by: NativeArcher on December 26, 2009, 12:56:00 PM
I hope this is an ok question for this forum. Ive been looking around alot on bladesmithing and blacksmithing info, and I keep seeing these post vises popping up. My question is what is the benefit of these vises over normal bench vises. Thanks all.....matty

They can be used to hold work you're hammering on. The purpose of the post is to transfer the shock of the blow to the ground.
