Title: Satinite supply?
Post by: shortstroke 91 on November 26, 2009, 07:06:00 PM
Where can I get a small ammount of Satinite? My forge is only a 6" x 12" with a 1" liner so I don't need much but all I've found online is going to cost me 4 times the ammount just for shipping. Anybody know of a supplier that deals in small ammounts?

Shortstrok 91.  Look up a refractory pottery shop supply place locally.  Any nearby large city should have one or serveral.  They all sell Satanite or another high heat mortar that will work for your forge.

Ellis has it but it take quite a while (more than a week) for them to process your shipment.

I couldn't find it nearby so I bit the bullet and ordered from Ellis, turns out they wont be shipping anything until Dec 12th.

any of the industrial refractory places will have it,  for much less $$ and will ship it when you place the order.
