Thanks guys and the wood is currly maple dipped in Black leather dye,then I sand.
Its about 1/2 done got to do that couple more times(probally let more cross grain show) then dip in boiled linseed oil let dry couple weeks and polish to get it to shine.

Wow Kevin!  that's great work on what appears to be a very cool dagger!
