This is one of my standard 360 tactical utilities that I made with some nice wood handles instead of the standard G10 or micarta.
DOne with 1/8" 1080 steel, koa slabs and G10 spacers from AKS and nickel silver pins.
Blade is 3.75" Overall 8.25"
I love working with 1/8" steel after using 1/4" on all the big blades!

Great looking knife!!!!!

That looks very nice.
G10 spacers, I assume the same as liners? Any reason you used that instead of vulcanized fiber, maybe you needed thicker?
I agree with you, I like using 1/8" steel on most of my knives.
Cool hamon!

Yes I meant liners Dan!
I like to use g10 now because they are absolutley no question impervious to water, solvents whatever, and I can get them in many differnt thicknesses. I have been using black ones that are .014" thick, so it is not too much, more for an accent. I used them on a knife that I parkerized, which had OD green G10. I expected the black spacer to disappear next to the black steel, but it actually looks very good, nice and clean. And in that instance I was using only for thickening the handle!
Sorry did not mean to write a book!

No, very good explaination. I use the vulcanized fiber that is most common, and I believe it to be 100 percent waterproof. I do not know exactly what is in it, but it is very tough. But not as tough as G10!
