I have three of them. Each one is very unique. The first one I received from Lukas has bamboo back and belly, as they all do, an osage center lam and I can't remember the other lams in that bow. The outer bamboo has a fern like stain.

The next one is very cool. The limbs are made up of a Japanese box lamination consisting of walnut and bamboo, an ebony riser and snakewood tip overlays.  The bamboo is not stained, but the belly lamination is tempered to a light honey color.

The third one is also very cool. It has the bamboo back and belly like they all do, two lams of Coretuff glass under the outer lams of bamboo and a center lay up of three lams of bamboo. Lukas made just a few of these.

I would consider myself lucky to have even one of Lukas' Grandeurs, much less three.

Cool! I knew someone had a few or three.lol
Got any pics? It's been a long while since I've
seen one of his early bows.
Thanks Ghost Dog!

Here's an old link that might give you an idea of how they looked;

Hey Paul, how did you manage that url for the old Saluki site? I used to stare at those images over and over. I needed help in those days, but I am much better now.    :saywhat:

I owned four of them over a few years period.  Wish I kept the first one I ordered.  Best bow Saluki made past and present.

If you look at the riser section of the bow on top in the second image you can see where the walnut tapers into the bamboo in the "box" lamination.

Lukas old partner Tony has been hanging out some of late. Maybe he has some pics he could post too.
