Title: Asbell neck knife?
Post by: elbow on August 30, 2009, 11:03:00 PM
I bought a couple of neck knifes from Fred at Denton hill. I must say they sharpen like a razor and were a good value. I dont see them listed on his site, does anyone know more about them? Anyone else get one?

I bought one from him at the PBS convention in Pittsburg. You're right razor is putting it lightly. Iv'e tried to contact Fred with no results. I'd like to get a couple more knives and neck sheaths

Fred only sells his wool items and knives at the shows.  He does not do mail order.

My son and I both bought them at Denton. I agree they are awsome knives for the money. They look suspiciously simular to a line of knives carried by Dixie Gun Works. Saw blade steel, maple handles, the same sheaths. Check their website or catalog, I think I'm going to order one just to see.

I have seen those very same knives on another website as well. I just can't remember which one. They ARE good blades made from carbon steel.
