It's been a ussual crazy summer but here's a little something I started last spring and finally found time to finish up. Never can get much shop time in the summer up here on the Ranch...
I'll be taking it to WY tomorrow where I'm meeting up with several friends for a couple days and hopefully catching a bunch of fish. I'm thinking this knife won't be coming back home with me but will be headed to Wisconsin instead ;)
Damascus blade, guard and butt cap along with bighorn sheep. I love this sheep horn!!

I swear, if Joe comes home with that knife, I may become a theif! Nice one Doug.

That truly is a sweet little knife. Sheep horn has its own special characteristices that make almost anything it goes on look better than it is!
Even though this knife is as good as it can get, the sheep horn just gives it something "extra".
You mean I could have driven a few hours up to Wisconsin and roade out with Joe?
I'm really disturbed that I wasn't invited.

Doug, that's a beauty for sure! Is the butt cap attached with a nut on a threaded tang?
Will you be fly fishing? Have fun!
Thanks for sharing!

Kinda funny this thread should come back to life 3 years later. Doug isn't spending all his time in the forge!
This was the trip that knife took way back in 2009...tippit

I like the knife an awful lot, but the fishing and fellowship are just as nice in a different way. It's not too often a fella gets to have so many special things at the same time.

Jeff,
Who took the photo on that trip? Absolutely beautiful!
-
It was a group effort on photos. Amazing time hunting, fishing, & socializing!

Doug, Remarkable, not your average knife. Be proud!
