Title: Dilemma--Elk Hunt or Power Hammer Work Shop!!
Post by: tippit on July 31, 2009, 02:51:00 PM: Wouldn't you know it, the New England Blacksmiths fall work shop on using power hammers is the same weekend I'm scheduled to fly to Montana to elk hunt with Doug & Claudia. Doug is probably the only guy that would see this as a dilemma too. So I'm probably going to take in the hammer-in, be all packed ahead of time, an fly out on Monday. For anyone else who might be interested the workshop in Vermont...tippit

But then again, whenever you get the chance to learn something, especially when it's an experienced blacksmith, you had probably better go do it.

You can always make knives and whack steel when the snow flies. Forget about the power hammer and get out west and whack elk. I'm starting to worry about you!

Plus it's only missing a day...heck Claudia will be tagged out by then and I'll have two guides :) Also Doug wants me to take a lot of notes...you don't think he doesn't want me there with Claudia do ya?? :confused: Doc
