I have a 58" 35# bear grizzley that I bought for $10 at a pawn shop, which had a twisted bottom limb.

I had heard that you could straighten it by twisting it under hot tap water, but that did not work. So, I put some water on the boil and held it in the steam for a bit then twisted the limb the other way and let it cool. It worked perfectly. I had to heat it way up by the handle to get it to work. When I heated the recurved tip, it didn't have any effect.

A pair of leather gloves will keep your hands from blistering.

Good luck...

Bigshirt, just leave the bow strung, grip it so the string will not slip off the limb and twist the opposite way of the twist. Twist pretty far past the original twis t and check it, repeat and let bow sit. Do this for a couple days in a row letting sit strung until the next time ya do it. It should be fine a few days. Shawn
