I wanted share with all of you my first knife and sheath I've ever made. I'd also like to thank everyone on this site for sharing all your knowledge and tips. The blade I cut from some stainless steel I had. The handle is maple burl with a super glue finish. I bought the scales online from "knives by jake". great service and real fast shipping. Thanks Dana, I think I've read almost every post in this section. I also took sometime in between each step to really think it thru.

Beautiful package, your leather work is very good, and that Maple is superb. What kind of stainless, do you know?
-
I'm not sure what grade stainless it is. it was from a doctor blade used to scrape steel rollers clean of debris on a paper machine. I wish I had more of it. Looking at and old saw blade now to make another.

Sweet Ron! Be sure to bring it to Denton this year. See you in the "Grove" bud!
