Title: Black Rhino M-58 40lbs@28"
Post by: Mojostick on January 25, 2008, 10:04:00 AM
Anyone have any experience with this bow for adults, not children?
I've heard nothing but great things about Black Rhino for youth and womens bows.

I have a half dozen higher end custom bows, but I was looking for a low poundage 58" longbow for late season, close range treestand deer hunting, around 10-12 yard shooting with a super sharp 2 blade.

Chuck makes an all wood 58" 40lbs@28" for $250 shipped.
I know there's always the constant suggestion of checking the classifieds, but a used 58" 40lb@28" longbow is hard enough to find, let alone one for under $300.

Any thoughts are welcomed.

I had one for about a year.  Never had any luck getting my arrows to fly good.  Would just get fustrated and take one of my other bows out hunting.  So I passed it on and had Mike from Maddog make me a 56" longbow for less than the Black Rhino.  Love the maddog.   www.tradstore.com/mta (http://www.tradstore.com/mta)

I handled one at a shoot last year and the  riser is made small for a woman and kids hand.
