Title: from bar stock to knife - 1st one!
Post by: madness522 on March 03, 2009, 12:00:00 PM
Well it isn't all that pretty and I have a little polishing and applying a finish to the handle and making a sheath but here is my very first knife.  Made from O1 and somekind of rose wood scales.

Thanks!  I did manage to overheat the tip and now it isn't pointy...sharp! but not pointy.  Lesson learned!

Looks bomb proof.Where did you get the O1?

Izzy the O1 came from Jantz supply.  It is bomb proof I bought a piece of 1/8" and one of 3/16" this is 3/16 and it is a lot thicker than it looked like it would be.  I call it my camp chopper because it viciously attached the edge of my work bench and chopped out a chunk.
