Title: one brick forge

guys can someone tell me if a plumbers propane tourch will work on a one brick forge? i have a torch that is mapp gas, i know this is hotter but cost more money.

I've been using a plumber's propane torch in my miniforge since day one.  I have a full sized forge, but still use that little one for heat treating most everything.

I use propane and a JTH-7 torch and haven't had a problem getting it really hot inside.

I chose to use the Mapp gas over the propane just because it burns hotter...they even had some on sale at home depot last week. Here's some pics of my latest project utilizing the "mini forge"

i like that shape
looks like it will make a dandy knife for most every day use
