Title: Ironwood and Damascus Bowie

I recently finished this Bowie with a 9 1/2 inch blade of my damascus. The guard is made of alternating layers of Stainless and Silicon Bronze and the wood is Desert Ironwood.

Lin that is very nice Piece !!
When I see knives now I try and figure out how it was done.Can't get this one ,we will have to talk when I get better.
Nice file work. What Damascus pattern is that???

Lin; that is a very beautiful piece of work, I believe ol' Col. James Bowie and his maker James Black would like to come back to life just to hold that knife. Thanks for sharing Rod

Karl, no. It's a knife I made  for the Arkansas show a couple weeks ago. Just did not have time to get it photographed before the show. Here is a picture of the handle a little closer up. The Ironwood is some of my best yet. Lin

Beautiful! Besides the ironwood I really like the damascus pattern, do have a sheath to go with it? I'd like to see what leather you marry that knife with.
