Title: A few recent projects
Post by: woodsman1031 on February 21, 2009, 10:12:00 AM
Here are a few knives that I made on my days off. The pictures are from my cellular phone, so they are terrible.

This guthook was made from a stainless steel saw blade with osage scales. I made this one for a trade.

I made this 5 1/2" neck knife from an old carbon steel Nicholson undustrial hack saw blade, with oak scales. I left some of the pits so it would look primitive. I Think that Carbon steel is the best for making a knife. It is razor sharp!

I made this little 5" neck knife from a small piece of stainless saw blade scrap and a piece of maple. It is like a 1/4 tang. I made it "goofing off". I thought I would post a picture anyway. I have made a sheath for it and I think I will keep it around.
