i was wondering what do you guys use to etch your blades to get the hammond line to show really nice. what is it, where can i get it and how much does it usally cost. thanks alot

I'm usually using either a 3:1 mix of water:ferric chloride or a 50:50 mix of distilled vinegar:ferric chloride.
Radio Shack still sells the etching solution, which is where I bought my bottle a few years ago.
Etching is only the first step ;) Then you get to decide to what degree you polish it, and how.

I have checked with Radio Shack about Ferric chloride with no luck. You can still find it on the internet though.
You can use vinegar alone or lemon juice, but fc seems to be my favorite. Lin

pcb etchant is ferric chloride :)
Not all stores carry it. If can use Radio Shack's website to see which of your local stores has it, or order it online.

It has been discontinued to my knowlege. If you find a store that has some, get it.
It's easy to find all you need with a little internet search.
Dry crystals which require mixing, or in liquid form, which may or may not add to shipping.
