Well, I realize if there is pig hunting in Iowa it is likely on a penned in pig ranch or some such. That being said, does anyone know if there are any in Iowa? My buddy is looking for a one or two day excursion in March and Iowa is not real far.
Bob.
Check out the Iowa DNR website and search under feral hogs. There are some counties shown on their video where the hogs are becoming a problem. I think they are able to be taken at anytime, no closed season.
According to the Missouri DOC, there's established populations in Clark County (Northeast corner of MO) NO restrictions, except during deer and turkey season. http://mdc.mo.gov/landown/wild/nuisance/hogs/
Tell your buddy unless time is limited Gene and I still have a couple slots left for our Pig-Gigs in Texas. Cheap, fun and no limits. In fact, I have a guy from NE Iowa scheduled on Hunt #4 who is looking for someone to share the ride down with. Otherwise, there's always airplanes., :^) But be aware hanging around Gene and I may rub off some. bw

I don't know if it's still there but there is a place for hawgs and other critters around 5 miles west of Toledo on hwy 30. It borders the IOWA River. The name of the place is, NORTH STAR GAMELAND HUNTING PRESERVE. Here is their number, 641,492-6159 or 6326. Like I said I don't know if it's still open, it's been about 7 yrs since I was there.
Good luck,
