here is a knife design i've been working on. i've been experimenting with different blade and grip shapes trying to come up with, for me, is the perfect skinning knife. this is what i've come up with. the blade has a deep hollow grind giving it an ultra fine edge. i'm making them in a 5", 6", and 7" models using 154CM steel. i'll have to wait until april to try them out on some hogs to see how well the design really holds up. the top knife has elk antler, the second is amboya burl, and the last is worm holed cocobola. enjoy!

Nice job Chris. I like all three. My personal prefrence would be the 6" knife only because thats what I'm used to using.

thanx fellows! i think i like the 6" myself for skinning. i still have a 4" necker version i'm finishing up. i forgot to add i also had these cryo treated. if that adds a few more cuts before sharpening, it's worth it in the long run.
