im looking for a good head lamp with LED lights preferbly green so not to spook game while im finding my way to my stand in the dark.. any suggestions?
Cabelas sells some good ones for a reasonable price...alaskan guide series. It's what I use and I like it very much! Much better than having to hold a flashlight. I guess a guy can get as fancy as he wants depending on how much he wants to spend.

Petzl Tactikka XP. I've had a number of cheap ones. This is probably twice the price of many but well worth it in my opinion.
I agree about the Petzl,I like the Tactica(sp?)Great little lights,bright enough for most situations and very small and lightweight.
I like one from a company called Coast - the power chip headlamp. This is a very, very bright led headlamp...I have one of these and a handheld led model that are both just fantastic lights. Bright enough to track by, easy on batteries and so far, very durable. They are so good, my surefires have now been relegated to backups.
My daughter had my brother for the gift exchange this Christmas and she got him one made by Energizer. It's got 2 red LEDs, or you can turn on 2 LED spots, or 2 floods or all the white LEDs at once, and you can tilt the head. All for about 16 bucks. I will say, it's very very bright.
I've got three or four but the one I love the most is my Petzel. Not sure which model but its the yellow one that works underwater as well. Around $100.00 but it has both LED and Halogen bulbs so you have an option at your fingertips. I find the new LED lights great but I don't like them for blood trailing, I find a bright white light best for tracking. For this I use Sure Fires and Cabelas XPG 12volt their awesome.
I have an old Petzel headlight with the regular bulbs and it works fine. My brother has an LED one and maybe it takes some getting used to as I have a hard time navigating by the light it gives off.
I definitely could not blood trail by his or mine for that matter. On afternoon hunts the big ol maglite goes in the pack for blood trailing.
I find the inexpensive Rayovac SPHLTLED 3-in-1 LED Head-Lite works fine for me. It has a red LED, two white LEDs, and a Krypton bulb. It's not green but red won't hurt your night vision either and my headlamp lasted all season without changing the battery. The Krypton is actually brighter than a mini-mag. Petzel is the way to go. I love my Tikka Pro Plus. You can get filters for them.
I have toyed around with different lights over the years, and the best one I have found for the money is the one from Wally World by Energizer for about $12-$14. I bet it is as good as some of the $100 lights. Like has already been stated, it has several light settings and a tilt head. It is plenty bright. I don't usually use it on its brightest setting. The great thing about them is how they last forever on one set of batteries. I bought mine 2 or 3 years ago and still have the same batteries, even after having it out in very cold temps.
I second the wally world lights. Used on extensively in S.A.R. I have the exact same one as Talondale.
