Title: One of my dads blades
Post by: redneckrampage on December 23, 2008, 01:08:00 AM
here is a pic of the first deer knife ive ever had that my dad made for me when i started trying to chase deer in the timber with a sharp stick...but every deer ive killed has found a different blade in it, but enuff of my failed hunt stories, the blade is d2 tool steel, heat treated to about 60 rockwell and if memory serves me right the handle is a special plastic that he got from the garbage at alcoa for bearings on their 220 mill...but i may be wrong as many an odd material down to bowling balls have made it on his kives, and i almost forgot the back of the blade is just as razor sharp as the main blade
