Okay, so not 38 pins per say, more .38 special, pins.
I have a good friend serving in Iraq, who's managed to wangle Christmas leave, this year. I know he's been looking at my knives for a while, so I thought I'd make him up a prezzie to take back to the desert.
He's mentioned a time or two that he'd like a good, hard use knife. Not too military-looking, but something different. Well, this is what I came up with.
I know, I know; it's an edge-look, but I think I pulled it off OK (Apart from the two honking great cracks in the wood    I'll strip & replace them tommorrow, I just wanted to show it!)
I've closed the belt loop with Manchester screws, rather than stitching it up, so if needs be he can unbolt it & attatch it to his webbing.
Different, ain't it!
Oh, the blade's 6-1/2" 01, convex scandi grind 3/16" stock. OAL is 11-1/2"
