I am planning my next knife project which will be a Muzzleloader Patch/neck knife for a long time friend & mentor to celebrate his 79th B-day. So it's got to be special!
I plan to use stained figured Maple and try some simple wire inlay. And make a primitive sheath using cones, horse hair, fringe and all that "stuff". :help:
Show me what you got!!!
I need some inspiration !!!!
Thanks Steve

Here's my latest patch/neck knife. The handle is polished bone, the sheath is rawhide and brain tan.

Just finished a small flared guard necker in Lacewood. It fits nicely in Rebecca Parker's brain tanned quill neck sheath...tippit

Wow, that is a really very nice knife! I love the color combo in the quill work! Is that sheath lined with a heaver leather or only the brain tanned leather?
