Thank you sir.  It is indeed a fine little axe, almost hate to use it for fear of scuffing it up.    :bigsmyl:

If you have that many you're what I'd call axe rich...   :notworthy:

Am I a lucky guy or what?
This afternoon in the office, while working I came back here to check again on my Stic shooter steel,  ;)  and tonight I'll be hitting the road to goose bowhunt with my friend Rob  :archer:

Can it be better than that?

What kind of axe is that in the pic with the bow?  I've thought if I got heavy into traditional archery I would get into some tradtional "working steel" as well to finish off the look plus it could decorate the house as well  :)

It's a Gransfors Bruks, hand forged hatchet.  They're made in Sweden.  Here's a link...
 http://www.gransfors.com/htm_eng/index.html

If you want something a bit more "traditional", you might want to go with something more along these lines  http://shrewbows.com/shrewhawk/index.htm  . One of Ron LaClair's Shrew Hawks, they're a fine looking tomahawk and by all accounts a good performer.

yeah i know Ron, i'm slower then a election! the small necker is also an Ml knfe, it was made as a mate to the tiger maple handle long knife in the picture with the big bowie. the little necker is 5 1/2 oal, blade is 2 1/4 up swept with 2 steel pins. i wear it often, even while i work. the whole knife can be hidden behind you pointer finger and it is razor sharp! Matt also made the forged fork for me, he does not make them often unless asked but he does a great job. he bade a leather cover for it so it does not poke through my haversack.

Just sent off a Japanese style workin' blade (10" AOL 5160) to a bowyer who did me a huge favor.  I never tried one of these or even held one...so I just tried to copy a picture.  It has some pretty good heft and will cut through water bottles & branches with ease.  Hopefully it will slice up some Arizona Elk...tippit
