Does anyone have any scrap peices of damascus steel they'd be willing to part with. I'd like to make a few small game heads and thought they"d be a little different done in damacus.

Ain't no such thing as "scrap" damascus ;)

OK> How about extra tidbits you dont have a use for right now?
-
you can buy small pieces off auction sites that are for bolsters and guards, for reasonable money.
Most small pieces are kept to use as decorative beads, etc as they are too precious to those of us who do not actually make our own yet.

You mean **** or is there a better site?
-
you got it! Or you can go to Jantz Knife Supply, Texas Knife Supply.
the problem with what we use is its bar stock..1/8 maybe 3/16 so that wont MAKE a small game head of any kind, unless you are making a two blade broadhead..and then you couldnt do that out of scrap pieces..just not big enough.

Thanks Ray , I'll give these sites a try. Bar stock is definatly too thick.
