I have someone who wants a knife with an orange and black theme. I was hoping to find some dymondwood but no luck. The only thing I have found is G10 in orange and black. Does G10 require any special work or just have at it like wood? Thanks for your help

How about paduke and ebony or osage and ebony?

G10 is a breeze to work. If you get hold of some plain, flat G10 it polishes up like a mirror. It's totally inert & needs no finish on it.
Mind you, it looks bloody awful! :D :D

Make sure you wear a respirator since G10 is fiberglass based. It isn't the same as paper or linen micarta.

Rob do you have any pics of G10 you've done?
I'm curious about micarta aswell. I was thinking of a black micarta with orange g10 stripes or overlays. Would this combo work and would I glue it with the devcon epoxy? Thanks guys. Skippy

Masecraft sells orange/black "tiger striped" G10 blocks. I think that would be easier and stronger than glueing micarta and G10 pieces together.
