Title: ready for handles- 3 done pic
Post by: sticshooter on February 06, 2008, 09:32:00 AM
Cut these out at work and snow storm kept me home today so I am off to the shop to see if I can get some done today. The top knife is for a TG member gonna have a grey action wood handle to match his bow. I really like the skinner.<><    (http://inlinethumb49.webshots.com/39920/2463106850051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2463106850051876912EGoocF)

Frank, I can see your style in those knives, totally awesome blades.

It's always nice to see new designs but I do have to admit, those absolutely ROCK ON DUDE !!!!

You've been busy Frank.

We are getting freezing rain here to be followed by 8" of snow they say and then three more days of mix.

Nice blades.  Where does that Nessmuk blade stlye originate?  I'm still in the VERY early stages of learning about knives.

Beautiful!  I am partial to the boning blade.  I haven't attempted one of those yet.  How flexible is that blade, Frank?

Derek that skinner would have been awesome. Notice I said would have been. It cracked when I quenched it. So I had to regrind the blade and going to try agian. It still will be a cool skinner just not as cool as it might have been. First time that has ever happened to me. I could have spit nails when I seen it!      :banghead: .<><

Well got a couple more done. The big one has a cocobolo handle not a fancy coco didnt think it would look right. And the roach has a sapele handle that I stained. The B&T knife turned out really cool with that yellow and black.<><   (http://inlinethumb09.webshots.com/10184/2612712310051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2612712310051876912YKBMrG)    (http://inlinethumb44.webshots.com/42347/2397556530051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2397556530051876912zjYAeu)    (http://inlinethumb29.webshots.com/1436/2465515800051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2465515800051876912WovHSa)

OK but only if you promise not to let her fall in  :D  We've had our share of snow too......Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island and Haleakala on Maui all have snow at 13000 feet it's far enough away so it looks pretty...LOL
Frank I have some old knife blades from the philippines forged from old leaf springs if you think you could use them.
