Got my laminated beaver tail sheath for my Tippit knife done tonight.  A little more pitch blend, and she will be ready for the Texas Sweat!

I have piece of beaver tail that is really stiff.
I'd like to use it for a knife sheath also.
What is the best way to go about making it softer to work with?   Thanks   JOHN
