I don't know if y'all saw it, but Shaun has made me a beautiful Osage selfbow (Thread HERE) (http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=055486) in exchange for a damascus bladed knife.
I just got the knife finished up this morning. The blade is 1095 & 15N20, 300 layer ladder pattern, bought as a bar fom Mike Blue's forge. It's come out at 58/60RWC so I'm not too bothered, although the difference inetch is not great :(
OAL is 8-1/2" with a 3-5/8" blade. I made it as a pin-tang to get as much blade from the steel as possible :)
The handle is a mystery to me! I know I bought the wood about a year ago, butI'm darned if I ca remember what the heck it is! I think it might be Amboyna burl, but I'm not 100% on that :D
The bolster I do know & it's aquamarine corian with a 1/16th black spacer.
